About

Auckland Niue Rugby League was established in 2016 with the intention to use rugby league as a catalyst for the cultural, well-being and league development of the Niue community in Auckland, New Zealand.
We are an inclusive organisation who have formed positive working relationships with other key stakeholders in the Rugby League sector.
​We are proud to be an affiliated member of Auckland Rugby League.
We have a diverse group of committee members who are very dedicated to the growth of rugby league development for all Niue players, their fanau (families) and the wider community.

Dan is a natural leader. He brings to the team a forward thinking approach, with his background in politics he is able to maintain a team who is influenced by logic, understanding and transparency. Dan has been a member of a local football club for many years.

Sam is a founding member of Rugby League here in Auckland. He has coached club football for developing grades, and has also coached rep football for many years. Sam has a background working with troubled youth and at risk fanau in the Auckland Region.

Phillip is a hard working member who is the backbone of our team. He has vast experience in rugby league as a premier manager for his local club as well as a coach in developing grades. He runs his own business and gives back to the community through volunteering his time and business resources.

Daphne is our newest member to ANRL. She brings with her a wealth of experience from managing in our development grades. Daphne has a successful background in accounting which makes her a valued member of ANRL. She ensures there is financial sustainability as well as transparency in our operations.

 Casey was our first and only female member for the first 3yrs of ANRL's establishment. She has experience as a manager for club football and brings a wealth of experience from her time working at New Zealand Rugby League. Casey has founded two businesses which has enabled her to volunteer in many community organisations such as ANRL.

Dylan is a passionate team member from West Auckland. Dylan has contributed to development football in various positions such as coaching, management and as a trainer at both club and rep levels. Dylan is a club captain at his local league club. He runs his own business which enables him to volunteer towards the community and the development on rugby league here in Auckland.

Gavin has had numerous titles within the league arena. He has experience in premier football, coaching many premier squads for club football here in Auckland. When he is not working in his full time role, he is always supporting community through voluntary roles as well as sponsorship. Gavin has coached the senior ANRL team to successful campaigns against our neighboring pacific squads.

Auckland Niue Rugby League was established in 2016 to celebrate our Niuean culture, play for our Fanau (families) and enable our athletes to be better people through representing and supporting Niue in rugby league. We are proud to be an affiliated member of Auckland Rugby League, and we work collectively with other key rugby league Pasifika nations, New Zealand Rugby League, and Counties Manukau Rugby League. Our diverse group of committee members each bring different skills, and are very dedicated to the growth and development of all Niue rugby league players. We are also focused on player well-being, and identifying opportunities to further support their enjoyment playing rugby league for Auckland Niue, New Zealand. We look forward to meeting and working with you soon!
